LYDIA GREY is an interdisciplinary artist and curator working in video, performance, photography, and conceptual collections. The work pulls from a range of sources: the interrelationship of science and discovery, her Native American heritage, being part of a diverse family, contemporary culture in the context of history, and extensive world travel. Projects are often interactive, including audience as participants. Her data-driven pieces use current and historical demographics to probe questions of how people behave. The work engages the audience to explore, ask questions, and consider what they assume about their culture and themselves. She teaches video editing and digital portfolio at Raritan Valley Community College, Branchburg, NJ, and holds BFA and MFA degrees from Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University.
